How BDB Wealth Can Help
Retirement Income Planning
We help translate your various accounts and income sources, investment portfolios, Social Security, pensions, and other assets into a coordinated income plan designed for your specific spending goals and timeline
Tax-Smart Withdrawal Sequencing
We can help identify which accounts to draw from and in what order, (taxable, traditional IRA, Roth) to help manage your tax exposure and Required Minimum Distributions over the course of retirement. We work alongside your CPA on the tax implementation side.
Portfolio Management
Ongoing, fee-based investment management with a strategy appropriate for your income needs, risk tolerance, and time horizon, reviewed at least quarterly. We build an Investment Policy Statement tailored to your specific situation.
Healthcare and Longevity Planning
We factor rising healthcare costs and longevity risk into the planning conversation so they don’t become a surprise later in retirement.
Coordination With Your Other Professionals
We work alongside your accountant and estate attorney to help ensure your financial plan and legal and tax documents are aligned.
Our Approach
1. Start by understanding your income sources, expenses, goals, and what you want retirement to look like.
2. Build an Investment Policy Statement appropriate to your retirement stage and risk tolerance.
3. Manage your portfolio with at least quarterly reviews, adjusting as your circumstances change.
4. Coordinate with your CPA, estate attorney, and other professionals as needed.
