Portfolio Management
We manage portfolios on a discretionary basis, grounded in a personalized Investment Policy Statement that captures your goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. Every client receives an IPS, asset allocation, investment selection, risk-tolerance assessment, and at-least-quarterly monitoring and review.

Equities, fixed income, ETFs, defined-outcome and buffered ETFs, mutual funds, REITs, real estate funds, inflation-linked bonds, annuities, commodities, and non-U.S. securities — selected based on your individual circumstances.

Actual fees depend on the rate in your advisory agreement.
Fees are calculated on account value as of the last business day of each billing period, charged monthly in arrears, and deducted directly from your account with written authorization. Terminate within five business days of signing for a full refund; after that, written notice ends the agreement immediately.

Pension & Retirement Plan Consulting
BDB consults on SIMPLE IRAs, SEP IRAs, 401(k)s, 403(b)s, and other employer plans — covering investment menu review, fiduciary oversight, manager monitoring, service provider recommendations, and participant education.

Other Costs & Conflicts of Interest
BDB’s advisory fee is separate from third-party costs. BDB does not mark these up or receive any portion of them.
Custodian fees Charged directly by Altruist Financial LLC. BDB receives no compensation or revenue sharing from Altruist.
Transaction costs Per-trade fees from the custodian. BDB adds no markup and does not participate in wrap-fee programs.
Fund expense ratios Internal fees charged by mutual funds and ETFs, set by the fund company — separate from BDB's fee.
Insurance commissions Danielle Bordenkircher is a licensed insurance agent — a disclosed conflict. Brian Bordenkircher is also licensed but does not actively sell insurance. Insurance is always optional; clients may use any provider.

Portfolio management fees are deducted monthly from your account, in arrears, with written authorization. You receive an invoice showing the formula, billing period, and AUM used, plus a quarterly custodian statement. Planning fees are paid in arrears by check, wire, or bank transfer.

Within five business days of signing — full refund, no penalty. After that, written notice ends the portfolio management agreement immediately.

BDB may recommend defined-outcome (buffered) ETFs and, in certain taxable accounts, a margin overlay (capped at 20% of equity). Both involve material risks — including cap limits, outcome-period mechanics, margin interest, and potential forced liquidation — and require individualized suitability assessment. Margin requires separate client authorization.
