BDB Wealth Advisors helps business owners in Pennsylvania & other states where registered or exempt, coordinate their business and personal financial picture.
So the decisions you make in the business don’t work against your personal financial future.
You Built the Business.
Now Let’s Make Sure It Funds Your Retirement.
You May Be Looking for Help With…
Choosing the right business retirement plan — SEP IRA, Solo 401(k), SIMPLE IRA, or Cash Balance Plan — for your entity structure and income level
Understanding whether your current business structure remains the most tax-efficient option as your business has grown, in coordination with your CPA
Building a realistic succession or exit framework — what stepping away actually looks like financially, and whether your current position supports it
Getting your personal investment plan and your business finances working from the same playbook, rather than as two disconnected pieces
Beginning to invest outside the business without a clear sense of where to start or what structure makes the most sense
How BDB Wealth Can Help
Retirement Plan Coordination
We can help you evaluate tax-advantaged business retirement plan options — SIMPLE IRA, SEP IRA, or 401(k) — suited to your entity type and income level, working alongside your CPA on implementation. We also provide pension and retirement plan consulting for businesses that sponsor plans for employees.
Business + Personal Planning, Together
Your business decisions and personal retirement goals reviewed as part of one coordinated picture — not as separate silos that occasionally conflict.
Exit & Succession Framework
We help you think through what a business transition could look like from a personal financial planning standpoint — income you’d replace, realistic timeline, and gaps that may need to be addressed before you can step away.
Portfolio Management
For business owners ready to invest personal assets or business reserves, we manage portfolios on a fee-based, fiduciary basis with at least quarterly reviews and no commissions on the advisory side.
Business Account Management
We also work with corporate cash reserves, deferred compensation plan assets, and other business-owned investment accounts — not just personal portfolios.
Our Approach
1. Start with a conversation about your business, your income, and what you want your financial future to look like.
2. Develop an Investment Policy Statement tailored to your specific goals and risk tolerance.
3. Manage your portfolio on an ongoing basis with at least quarterly reviews.
4. Work alongside your existing CPA, attorney, and other professionals — complement your team, not replace it.
Our Fees
Investment management is charged as an annual advisory fee based on assets under management, billed monthly in arrears. Fees are generally negotiable and documented in your advisory agreement. We do not collect fees in advance.
